Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification with a Special Education emphasis
  • Experience working with students in grades Pre-K through 12 preferred
  • Ability to adapt lesson plans to accommodate various learning styles and needs
  • Strong skills in classroom management and differentiated instruction
  • Comfortable teaching students in Math across grade levels
  • Passion for fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students abilities and goals
  • Modify general education curriculum to meet individual needs in subject areas such as Math and basic skills
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success
  • Provide direct instruction to students in small groups, one-on-one, and inclusive settings from early childhood through high school
  • Track and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
  • Encourage social, emotional, and academic growth in a positive, nurturing atmosphere
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and IEP team meetings
