This contract opportunity is designed for a passionate Special Education Teacher skilled in supporting learners from Early Childhood through High School, including specialties with grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Near Concord, CA, youll collaborate closely with teachers, families, and support staff to foster an inclusive, enriching educational experience for students at every stagewhether in Pre-K, elementary, middle, or high school settings.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential or eligibility for state licensure
- Experience teaching students with diverse learning needs, including intellectual, behavioral, or physical disabilities
- Familiarity working with all grade levels, from Pre-K and Kindergarten through 12th Grade
- Strong background in differentiated instruction with emphasis on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Ability to teach core subjects, with a focus in Math, across various age groups
- Excellent communication, organization, and team collaboration skills
- Compassionate, patient, and driven to inspire academic and personal growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement customized lesson plans targeting individual student needs
- Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to best support learning
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support teams, and families to maximize student success
- Administer and adapt assessments per IEP requirements
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to meetings related to student planning
- Encourage students social, emotional, and academic development
