Essential Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification and state credentials
• Experience working with students in one or more grades: PreK, Kindergarten, Elementary (Grades 1-5), Middle School (Grades 6-8), High School (Grades 9-12)
• Proficiency delivering differentiated instruction in math and foundational skills
• Strong classroom management and behavioral intervention skills
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Excellent communication abilities for collaboration with parents, staff, and students
• Adaptable and committed to meeting diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons for special education students in various grade levels, including core subjects like math
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure academic and social growth
• Implement IEPs and participate in regular meetings to review student objectives and progress
• Work closely with general education teachers, aides, and other professionals to support each students educational journey
• Foster a safe, caring, and supportive class environment
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student success and challenges
