Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (required)
- Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school students in a special education setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt lesson plans to accommodate varied learning needs
- Dedication to building supportive classroom communities and promoting student success
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet students unique needs
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in a classroom setting
- Assess and track student progress; adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, counselors, and support staff to maximize student growth
- Provide support for students academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and goals
