Job Description

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current teaching certification in special education
  • Experience instructing in K-12 settingselementary, middle, and/or high school
  • Strong understanding of IEPs and ability to implement individualized plans effectively
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills with teachers, support staff, and families
  • Compassion, patience, and adaptability in dynamic classroom environments

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging instruction that accommodates diverse learning styles and individual needs
  • Develop, update, and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to student success
  • Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate regularly with families and team
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-related activities
  • Contribute positively to the schools inclusive culture and support school-wide initiatives
