Desired Background and Experience:
- Valid South Carolina Special Education License is required
- Prior experience managing behavioral needs in educational settings preferred
- Comfortable working with students across elementary, middle, and high school levels
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational abilities and flexibility
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs to address diverse learning needs
- Adapt lessons and instructional strategies for students with exceptionalities
- Work closely with general education teachers, counselors, and parents
- Maintain accurate student records and progress documentation
- Provide behavioral support and interventions as needed
- Create an inclusive, positive, and safe classroom atmosphere
- Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development
