Step into a vital clerical role supporting special education services by ensuring the smooth coordination and compliance of Medi-Cal documentation. Located in the Thermal, CA area, this full-time contract position is perfect for an organized professional with experience in Medi-Cal processes. The position is slated to begin in early September, contingent on board approval, and will continue through the end of June, providing a steady 40-hour work week.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience in handling and processing Medi-Cal requests
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to conduct and monitor random time surveys from Medicaid, ensuring timely and accurate submissions by district staff
- Familiarity with Medi-Cal or Medicaid policies and clerical requirements
- Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred, to better serve and communicate with stakeholders
- No special licenses or certifications required, though background in educational or medical office settings is a plus
Main Responsibilities:
- Process and track Medi-Cal requests, managing sensitive data and confidential records
- Verify and support compliance with Medicaid policies by coordinating with SPED staff and other district personnel
- Monitor the timely submission of random time surveys and confirm staff adherence to procedures
- Conduct monthly meetings with Medi-Cal representatives to review protocols, address issues, and uphold reporting standards
- Maintain meticulous records and support audit preparedness
