Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential (or eligibility for certification)
- Experience working with diverse learners in Pre-K, Kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school
- Familiarity with curriculum and instruction for grades K12, including specialized experience in Math instruction
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and staff
- Adaptability to support multiple grade bands, from early learners to teens
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction to meet the unique needs of each student
- Modify curricula and provide accommodations for various grade levels and ability levels
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Develop and maintain effective IEPs in compliance with regulations
- Partner with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related services providers
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that encourages growth and confidence
