Special Education Teacher (K-5)

Location: Clover, SC 
Schedule: Full-Time
Assignment Dates: ASAP - May 28, 2027

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to support K-5 students in a school-based setting in Clover, South Carolina. Key Responsibilities

Provide specialized instruction to K-5 students with diverse learning needs in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications.
Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success in the classroom.
Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation of academic and behavioral performance.
Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
Implement positive behavior support strategies and classroom management techniques.
Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Maintain compliance with state, district, and federal special education regulations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
Active South Carolina Special Education Teaching License or eligibility to obtain licensure.
Experience developing and implementing IEPs.
Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with elementary-aged students and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field.
Previous K-5 special education teaching experience.
Experience supporting students with autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, or behavioral needs.
Familiarity with differentiated instruction and assistive technology.
Experience with progress monitoring and data-driven instructional practices.
