Desired Skills & Experience:

• Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement appropriate to student age/grade levels
• Previous experience working in a school setting with special needs populations
• Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and legal compliance
• Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, and interdisciplinary teams
• Adaptability, patience, and a creative approach to problem-solving
• Ability to manage classroom behaviors and foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to students with a wide range of abilities and learning needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents and support staff
• Regularly assess and document student progress towards IEP goals
• Modify curriculum and classroom activities to meet diverse learning styles and needs
• Provide direct support and coaching to students, helping them build academic and social-emotional skills
• Communicate regularly with families to share progress and strategies
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure a cohesive learning plan
