A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher near Clinton Township, MI for the 2026-2027 school year, with a start date as soon as possible and continuing through May 2026. This position involves working with a diverse K-8 caseload in a resource classroom setting where behavioral needs may vary. Flexibility and creativity are essential, as you will provide targeted instruction and support that enables every student to reach their full potential.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience teaching K-8 students with varied behavioral and learning needs
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt instructional approaches
• Familiarity with IEPs, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction
• Positive communication and collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to inclusivity and student-centered learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction according to IEP goals
• Create a supportive, structured classroom atmosphere where all learners can thrive
• Monitor student progress, update records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Implement effective behavioral strategies and respond constructively to student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers to facilitate inclusion where possible
• Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and school staff
