You will play a crucial role in shaping students academic journeys while collaborating with other educational professionals and participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. As part of your responsibilities, youll oversee assessments, evaluations, direct instruction, and required documentationall within a flexible, part-time schedule of 10 hours per week. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid and current New York State certification in Special Education (required)
  • Previous experience working with students with disabilities is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, progress monitoring, and evidence-based interventions
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Must successfully complete a fingerprinting/background check

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive student assessments and evaluations
  • Provide individualized and group instructional services aligned with IEP goals
  • Attend and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with other school staff and families
  • Engage in paid administrative tasks and team meetings within contracted hours
