This contract position offers an opportunity to provide specialized educational support as a Special Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year in Clifton Park, NY. The role involves working with a caseload of 20 students at one school, delivering tailored instruction and services that meet the individualized needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to inform student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver direct instruction and therapeutic interventions aligned with special education goals
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Provide support within a contractual schedule of approximately 10 hours per week
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid New York State Special Education Teaching License
- Experience working with diverse special education populations
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and educational strategies for students with special needs
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and educational teams
- Willingness to engage in paid travel as required; travel time is compensated
Work Environment and Schedule:
- Contract position for the 2025-2026 academic year
- Approximately 10 hours per week
