This contract position runs from October 8th through the end of the school year, offering a fulfilling chance to work closely with both special education and general education colleagues.

Your primary caseload will consist of no more than 8 students receiving special education services, all of whom are integrated with their peers (up to 20 students per class, currently 18). The focus is on science and math instruction within a co-teaching model. Youll be supporting learnerspredominantly with high-functioning autismin accessing the curriculum and reaching their full potential, with no significant behavioral challenges anticipated.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey certifications: Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) plus either K-6, Math 6-9, or Science 6-9; or Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH)
• Experience working within an inclusive or co-teaching model
• Proficiency with IEP management, preferably using the Real Time system
• Strong collaboration skills, especially with general education teachers
• Passion for supporting students with high-functioning autism
