Qualifications:

• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license (required)
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with school staff, families, and support personnel
• Comfortable with technology for virtual teaching (if opting for remote work)
• Adaptability and commitment to fostering inclusive classroom environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging lessons that accommodate students diverse learning needs
• Assess academic and behavioral progress, and adjust instructional strategies as necessary
• Develop, review, and manage IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure effective support
• Provide a safe, respectful, and encouraging classroom atmosphere
