Job Description
A K-3 Special Education Teacher is needed for a school-based position in Cleveland, Ohio. This contract opportunity offers a full-time schedule with 37.5 hours per week across 5 days, serving students within the K-3 age group in a K-12 school setting. The assignment aligns with the school calendar year (CSY).
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience in special education teaching preferred
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and special education compliance requirements
- Effective communication and classroom management skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students with disabilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports aligned with state standards
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
