A school-based Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in Cleveland, Ohio, serving students in grades K-3. This contract position involves working five days a week, totaling 37.5 hours, supporting young learners with diverse educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with disabilities in compliance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create an inclusive learning environment
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies to meet individual goals
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district and state regulations
- Participate in professional development to stay current on best practices in special education
Qualifications:
- Ohio Special Education Teaching Certification is required
- Experience working with K-3 age group in special education settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and behavior management techniques
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
