Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina Adaptive SPED License required
• Experience working with high school students in a special education setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners in an adaptive classroom
• Comfortable collaborating with other teachers and support staff
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive class environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction to meet students individual education plans
• Work with two fellow SPED teachers to co-manage a caseload of 26 high schoolers
• Contribute to classroom planning, accommodations, and data collection
• Partner with staff, students, and families to promote positive student outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to district procedures
• Participate in virtual panel interviews with the SPED Director via Zoom for a streamlined hiring process
