This contract opportunity begins April 13th and runs through the end of the academic year, placing you alongside a collaborative team where youll share a caseload of 26 students with two other dedicated teachers. Youll work full-time37.5 hours weeklywith the support of engaged colleagues and a welcoming school culture.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina Adaptive SPED License required
- Experience working with high school students in a special education setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners in an adaptive classroom
- Comfortable collaborating with other teachers and support staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive class environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction to meet students individual education plans
- Work with two fellow SPED teachers to co-manage a caseload of 26 high schoolers
- Contribute to classroom planning, accommodations, and data collection
- Partner with staff, students, and families to promote positive student outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to district procedures
- Participate in virtual panel interviews with the SPED Director via Zoom for a streamlined hiring process
