A high school adaptive special education teaching opportunity is available in Mocksville, NC, beginning April 13 through the end of the school year. This contract position involves working in a high school classroom setting within the local school district. The role requires managing a caseload of 26 students, shared among three teachers, focusing on adaptive education strategies to support diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the adaptive needs of high school students
• Collaborate with two other special education teachers to share responsibilities for a 26-student caseload
• Maintain compliance with district policies and educational standards
• Participate in ongoing communication with the special education director via Zoom and other district-established channels

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid North Carolina Adaptive Special Education license
• Experience working with high school students in an adaptive special education environment
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a team of special education professionals
• Strong communication skills for interacting with staff, students, and families

Work Schedule and Location:

• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• One school assignment located in Mocksville, NC
