A K-12 educational institution in Clearwater, FL is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to provide exceptional support and instruction to students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students unique learning requirements in compliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to create an inclusive learning atmosphere
- Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in meetings related to special education services
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and engagement
Qualifications:
- Valid Florida ESE teaching license is required
- Experience working with K-12 students in a special education setting
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage diverse classroom populations effectively
Job Details:
- Location: Clearwater, FL
- Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
- Position type: Contract for the current school year (CSY)
