This Special Education teaching opportunity focuses on providing tailored instruction and inclusive support to learners at various stages, including Pre-K, Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle, and High School. Your expertise in adapting curriculum, especially in Math, will help create an equitable educational experience for every student.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential
- Experience with grades Pre-K through 12 (including Elementary, Middle, and High School)
- Strong proficiency in differentiating instruction, particularly in Math
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and modify lessons to meet diverse learner needs and IEP goals
- Provide direct support and individualized instruction, including Math
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation for student progress and compliance
- Coordinate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff
- Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings
- Encourage student growth, independence, and engagement
