Key Qualifications:

• Valid West Virginia Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly those with moderate to severe learning needs
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, adaptive approach to instruction
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other educators, support staff, and families to foster student growth

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support to a caseload of 2 elementary students with moderate to severe needs
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each students strengths and challenges
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation according to local and state requirements
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture where every student feels safe and encouraged to succeed
• Regularly communicate with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive support for student development
