A full-time special education teaching opportunity is available in Fairmont, WV, supporting elementary students with moderate to severe needs. This contract position runs from ASAP through June 5, 2026, and involves working with a small caseload of two students, allowing for focused, individualized instruction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing specialized instructional plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student development
- Monitoring and documenting student progress and adapting strategies accordingly
- Communicating effectively with families and school staff to foster a supportive learning environment
Preferred qualifications:
- Valid West Virginia Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with elementary-aged students with moderate to severe disabilities
