Job Description

Step into a dynamic and rewarding contract opportunity shaping young lives through specialized instruction and care. Two full-time roles are available for certified Special Education Teachers, supporting students within an enriching and collaborative educational environment.

Youll serve at Oakdale Middle School (with a caseload of 15 students in the Learning for Life Program, schedule: 7:30am3:30pm), or at a second elementary location (caseload of 10 students, self-contained, schedule: 9:00am3:30pm). Both positions run from August 17th through June 4th and are entirely onsite, allowing for meaningful in-person engagement and direct impact.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current Special Education Teacher certification valid for the appropriate age group (elementary or middle school, as needed)
  • Proven classroom or resource room experience delivering individualized and group support to students with diverse abilities
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and curriculum adaptation
  • Ability to create a structured and nurturing learning environment
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills with staff and families
  • Commitment to fostering social, emotional, and academic growth

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans in alignment with district and state standards
  • Use evidence-based strategies to provide instruction and behavioral support
  • Track and record student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
  • Work closely with support staff, general educators, and parents to promote student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a positive school culture
  • Maintain compliance with all special education paperwork and procedures
