Job Title: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) School Setting
Position Type: Full Time Contract (W2)
Start Date: August 2026
Sunbelt is actively seeking a BCBA to service a local school district for the upcoming 20262027 school year.
Position Summary
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides behavioral support services to students with autism spectrum disorders, emotional/behavioral disabilities, and other special education needs within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Provide direct and consultative behavioral support services to students
- Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to monitor student progress and inform interventions
- Train and support teachers, paraprofessionals, and staff in behavior management strategies and ABA principles
- Collaborate with IEP teams to develop behavioral goals and recommendations
- Participate in IEP meetings, manifestation determinations, and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Conduct classroom observations and provide coaching to school staff
- Support crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies when needed
- Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and progress notes
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and behavioral supports
Qualifications:
- Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
- Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or related field
- Experience working with children and adolescents in school or educational settings preferred
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting students with autism spectrum disorder and emotional/behavioral disabilities
- Familiarity with IEP development and special education compliance
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or similar training preferred
