Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid PEL (Professional Educator License) required
  • Demonstrated experience working in junior high or high school special education
  • Background in Science, English, or Math is highly desirable
  • Proven career consistency in education roles
  • Dedication to prioritizing individual student needs over a purely curriculum-driven approach

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to classes of 20 or fewer students, ensuring differentiation and inclusivity
  • Create tailored lesson plans, adapting strategies to support varied learning abilities
  • Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment, building rapport and trust with students
  • Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to develop and monitor IEPs and student goals
  • Utilize effective assessment tools to inform instructional decisions
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all educational policies and procedures
