This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to serve students in grades K-8 in the Chicago, IL area. The position offers a 37.5-hour workweek on a contract basis with a focus on delivering specialized instruction to support diverse learning needs in a school setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid LBS1 Teacher Certification
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution
- 1-5 years of teaching experience working with special education students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students unique learning requirements
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
