Job Description
A school in Burbank, IL, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide support to students in grades 2 through 5 during the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time, in-person position offers 40 hours per week and the opportunity to work within a committed educational community focused on student growth and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students with special education needs across 2nd to 5th grade.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster inclusive learning environments.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation pertinent to student performance and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Valid LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist I) licensure.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (grades 2-5) in a special education setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff, students, and families.
