Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid special education teaching certification or equivalent credentials
  • Experience working with students from Pre-K through 12th grade
  • Solid background in delivering math instruction to various age groups
  • Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
  • Ability to effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
  • Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
  • Flexibility to work with multiple grade levels and adapt instructional strategies as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet the individual learning needs of students
  • Implement IEPs and track student progress toward goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support staff
  • Provide targeted instruction in core subjects, with an emphasis on math
  • Foster a productive, respectful, and supportive classroom environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding student progress
  • Assist with transition planning and student advocacy as necessary
