Job Description
Special Education Teachers are needed to support diverse K-12 classrooms across Massachusetts. This contract position offers an opportunity to work with varying caseloads, providing specialized instruction and support tailored to students with unique learning needs.
Location: Chicopee, MA
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction in compliance with IEP goals for students with special needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to create inclusive educational experiences
- Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate documentation
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning styles and abilities
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and goal-setting sessions
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teacher License
- Experience working with K-12 students across various classroom settings
- Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and compliance requirements
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
