Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active state teaching license with Special Education endorsement
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred)
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt lessons for students with varying abilities and disabilities
- Experience with behavior management strategies and supportive interventions
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design and deliver tailored instruction aligned with IEP goals and state standards
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and therapists to provide comprehensive support
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and legal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team planning
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and self-advocacy
- Implement behavior intervention plans as necessary and provide ongoing feedback to students and families
