Job Description

Your day runs from 8:20 am to 3:05 pm, offering a structured yet dynamic environment where each accomplishment is celebrated. This position requires expertise in developing individualized instruction, adapting lesson plans, and fostering an inclusive, nurturing atmosphere for every student.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Valid LBS1 licensure required
  • Previous experience teaching special education (preferably with primary or K-1 age groups)
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals, families, and related service personnel
  • Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young children

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction in a self-contained, K-1 classroom setting
  • Develop, modify, and implement IEPs to support individual student goals
  • Create engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to student abilities
  • Track student progress, record data, and maintain detailed documentation
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team meetings
  • Cultivate a supportive, inclusive environment for all students
