Bring your passion for creating inclusive educational experiences to a contract Special Education teaching opportunity located close to the vibrant city of Chicago, IL. This onsite role focuses on providing support and instruction for young learners in kindergarten through first grade, making a meaningful impact in their early academic journey.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a special education teacher endorsement
- Experience working with K-1 students preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Dedication to fostering positive, adaptive learning environments
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans in compliance with state guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction and support for K-1 students with diverse needs
- Develop and adapt lesson plans to facilitate student growth and engagement
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student success
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records in alignment with IEP requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable insight as part of the multidisciplinary team
Schedule:
- Full-time, contract position (37 hours per week)
- Onsite assignment
