Job Description

A contract position is available for a Special Education Teacher in a school located in Chicago, IL. This role focuses on providing tailored educational support to students with special needs, ensuring they receive a personalized and inclusive learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on students' specific needs.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate a variety of learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and parents to support student progress.
  • Monitor and document student development and behavior to inform instructional strategies.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification with a focus on Special Education.
