Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year! Were seeking five passionate professionals to make a real difference: four roles are available in elementary settings, with a fifth in a middle school environment. With all positions being full-time and onsite, you'll be guiding learners for 35 hours per week from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027.
Candidates who thrive here bring expertise in special education and demonstrate daily mastery of instructional skills and subject matter. Your role will include developing dynamic lesson plans aligned with current state and district standards, delivering differentiated instruction, and using ongoing assessments to inform your teaching. Strong classroom leadership and behavioral management are essential, especially in urban settings.
Key Experience & Qualification Highlights:
- Active certification/licensure for relevant caseload required
- Bachelors degree (necessary for obtaining an emergency teaching permit)
- Previous experience working in schools, ideally in urban communities
- Mastery in instructional strategies, curriculum, and resource materials
- Ability to create lesson plans, assess progress, and adjust instruction
- PA clearances must be up to date
- Able to reliably commute and work onsite between 8:30AM-4PM without schedule accommodations
- Confident with district practices and urban school environments
- Reliable transportation required
