Multiple positions are available across elementary, middle, and high school levels with clear, set schedules and an academic year commitment beginning August 2026. Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree required to qualify for an emergency teaching permit
- Valid and current Pennsylvania teaching certification or licensure specific to special education and caseload
- Demonstrated proficiency in related subject matter, instructional strategies, and resource materials
- Prior experience in a school setting, preferably within an urban environment
- Demonstrated strong classroom and behavior management abilities
- Proven comfort and adaptability to district-specific protocols and urban school dynamics
- Must have all Pennsylvania clearances completed prior to start date
- Access to reliable transportation
- Availability to adhere to designated working hours; schedule accommodations are not available
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adapt lesson plans aligned with state and district standards
- Utilize formative assessment data to inform instruction and differentiation
- Effectively manage classroom environments and student behavior
- Collaborate with school staff, additional support personnel, and families
- Ensure compliance with individualized education programs (IEPs) and student documentation
- Participate in all required meetings, trainings, and parent conferences
