Job Description

This full-time, contract role spans the 20262027 school year and involves working in a dynamic, inclusive setting where individual student growth takes center stage. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction targeting each students Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
  • Adapt and modify curriculum to provide differentiated instruction
  • Establish a positive, supportive classroom climate with effective behavior strategies
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service staff, and families to ensure student success
  • Maintain thorough compliance documentation and monitor ongoing student progress
  • Actively participate in IEP meetings and engage in team-based decision-making

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Current South Carolina Special Education teaching certification, or the ability to obtain one
  • Prior experience working with elementary-level students is highly valued
  • Proficiency in classroom management, curriculum adaptation, and instructional strategies for varying needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills for collaborative work environments
