Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary school near Cherry Hill, NJ. This full-time position runs from August 29th through November 6th, working exclusively within a 1st grade resource room setting. You'll have the chance to make a direct impact, guiding and nurturing students in a supportive and collaborative in-class environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid NJ special education certification highly preferred
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school environment is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with elementary (particularly 1st grade) resource room models beneficial
- Ability to work collaboratively with general education teachers and other support staff
- Commitment to individualized instruction and student success
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction within a 1st-grade resource classroom
- Adapt and modify curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students with IEPs
- Collaborate with educational staff and attend necessary team meetings
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation
- Support students' social and emotional growth in the classroom
This assignment is based at a single school, providing focus and consistency for you and your students. Youll work a full-time schedule and may occasionally interact with paraeducators or other support professionals as part of the classroom team. Interviews are held via Zoom, and quick decisions are madeexpect feedback within 24 to 48 hours. Please note: successful candidates will need to complete onboarding steps, including fingerprinting and submitting a signed contract.
