Step into a rewarding summer opportunity making a real impact on students lives as a Special Education Teacher for an ESY program running July 6 through July 31. This assignment offers a unique chance to work in a dedicated team setting with three Special Education professionals supporting students during their Extended School Year. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 12 pm, allowing you to balance meaningful work with your summer plans.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Demonstrated experience working in K-12 school settings
- Background in supporting students with a range of needs and abilities
- Proven collaboration and communication skills with colleagues, students, and families
- Ability to adapt instruction and interventions in dynamic environments
- Commitment to providing a safe and positive educational space
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality instruction and support for students as outlined in their IEPs
- Collaborate with other educators, related service providers, and support staff
- Foster engagement and participation using evidence-based instructional strategies
- Track student progress and contribute to ESY documentation as needed
- Create an inclusive, welcoming classroom environment that nurtures student growth
- Communicate effectively with families to share updates and celebrate milestones
