An opportunity is available for Full-Time Special Education Teachers to support K-12 students in a dynamic educational setting. This role focuses on delivering high-quality instruction and interventions for students with diverse learning needs within both resource and self-contained classroom environments.
Location: Charleston, SC
Job Type: Contract (Full School Year)
Position: Full-Time Special Education Teacher (3 openings)
Work Setting: In-person, W2 contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students unique learning requirements.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning environments.
- Provide targeted instruction in both resource classrooms and self-contained settings, ensuring compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
- Monitor student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies to maximize educational outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for K-12 education.
- Experience working with K-12 students across a range of disabilities in both resource and self-contained classrooms.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
