Key Qualifications and Licensure:
- Current South Carolina Special Education License required
- Previous experience working with students exhibiting behavioral challenges is highly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management abilities
- Dedication to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment for all students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for assigned students
- Provide direct instruction and support tailored to each students unique needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to foster student growth
- Monitor progress, assess learning outcomes, and adjust strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all state and federal regulations
- Respond to behavioral needs and implement positive behavior interventions and supports
