Desired Qualifications:
- Current and valid Special Education teaching certification (state-specific)
- Prior experience working with students in a Resource Room or similar specialized classroom setting
- Skilled in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management and organizational abilities
- Proficient in modifying curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction in a Resource Room for students with various disabilities
- Develop, implement, and regularly update IEPs in collaboration with related services and multidisciplinary teams
- Assess student progress, adapting interventions to promote academic and social growth
- Maintain clear, thorough records and documentation in compliance with all regulations
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and support strategies
- Collaborate with general education teachers to promote inclusive educational practices
