Job Description

This full-time contract opportunity focuses on inclusion and specialized programs within a dynamic team environment. With multiple positions available, youll work onsite collaborating with colleagues to create engaging, supportive learning experiences for diverse student populations.

What you bring:

  • Valid Arizona Secondary Teaching License
  • Current Arizona K-12 Special Education Certificate
  • IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Demonstrated experience instructing students with emotional disabilities and/or other areas of eligibility requiring strong prosocial and self-regulatory skills
  • Understanding of the needs of at-risk students, those with limited English proficiency, and students with exceptionalities
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and district regulations in special services (IDEA, IEPs, etc.)
  • E.E.E.I. training or willingness to participate in required professional development
  • Ability to commute within 30 minutes of one or more assigned campuses (including Linda Abril, Academies at South, Alhambra, BioScience, Bostrom, and Betty Fairfax)
  • Commitment to onsite presence throughout the school year

What youll do:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction and individualized support in a variety of special education settings, including inclusion, SUCCESS, Practical, CBT, and STRIVE classrooms
  • Develop and implement IEPs and related documentation aligned with regulatory guidelines
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and service providers to ensure student success
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to address academic, emotional, and behavioral goals
  • Participate in district-required training, including CIE (July 21-24) and ongoing professional development
