Multiple full-time opportunities are open to experienced Special Education Teachers who are passionate about helping students develop social, emotional, and academic success within a supportive school community.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Arizona Secondary Teaching License
- Valid K-12 Special Education (SPED) certification for the state of Arizona
- Current IVP fingerprint clearance card
- Prior experience with students with emotional disabilities and/or various eligibility areas, including those struggling with prosocial and self-regulatory skills
- Solid understanding of students needs, including at-risk, ethnically diverse, limited English proficient, and exceptional learners
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws governing special services and documentation
- E.E.E.I. (Essential Elements of Effective Instruction) training or willingness to undertake staff development in this area
- Must be able to commit to onsite work at high school campuses located within a 30-minute commute from several local schools
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students unique learning needs
- Deliver engaging instructional activities that address both academic and behavioral goals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external stakeholders to maximize student support and progress
- Track and document student performance and progress according to regulatory and district guidelines
- Create an inclusive and nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages positive prosocial behaviors and fosters self-regulation
Positions begin with required CIE training July 2124; all staff return July 27, continuing through May 2027.
