Job Description
A school in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Special Education Teacher with expertise in K-3 Resource instruction or SPED Math at the high school level. This contract position focuses on providing specialized educational support to students with diverse learning needs in either early elementary (K-3) or high school settings.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
- Implement specialized instructional strategies for K-3 resource students or high school SPED math learners
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress
- Monitor and assess student performance, adjusting teaching methods as necessary
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all school policies and special education regulations
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with K-3 students or high school students with disabilities, particularly in math instruction
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and behavior management
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and needs
