Special Education Teacher Elementary Developmental Disabilities

• Location: Central Falls, RI
• Schedule: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Through the end of the school year

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support an elementary classroom serving students with developmental disabilities in grades 34. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing individualized instruction and supporting students' academic, behavioral, and developmental growth.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized instruction based on students' learning needs and abilities.
- Support students with developmental disabilities in achieving academic and functional goals.
- Adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies to accommodate varying levels of support.
- Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate educational documentation.
- Collaborate with school staff to provide a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.

Classroom Details
- Elementary classroom serving grades 34.
- Approximately 9 students with developmental disabilities.
- One school assignment.
- Opportunity to support students with diverse learning and developmental needs.

Qualifications
- Rhode Island Special Education teaching license required.
- Candidates with mild-moderate or severe special education licensure are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working with students with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Strong communication, classroom management, and collaboration skills.
