Essential Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (state-specific or eligible to obtain)
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs tailored to student needs
• Strong collaboration skills to work with staff, families, and specialists
• Knowledge of current best practices in special education and differentiated instruction
• Ability to effectively manage classroom behaviors and build positive relationships
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students based on IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate a variety of learning styles and abilities
• Administer formal and informal assessments to monitor student progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are in place
• Facilitate IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress
• Foster a nurturing, structured classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
