Step into a dynamic contract role as a Special Education Teacher making a difference across multiple school sites within the area. This opportunity spans preschool through high school, offering both full-time and part-time roles ranging from moderate self-contained classrooms to co-taught resource environments. With 35-37.5 hours per week available and schedules tailored to each site, youll work alongside dedicated teams to support students diverse learning needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina SPED Teaching License (Multi-Categorical or appropriate certification required)
- Experience teaching in special education settings, including self-contained and co-taught resource rooms
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and support staff
- Flexibility to adapt to various age groups: preschool, elementary, middle, and high school
- Ability to maintain accurate records and comply with IEP processes
What You'll Do:
- Deliver high-quality instruction tailored to individual education plans across elementary, middle, high school, and preschool environments
- Foster an engaging, supportive atmosphere for students with varied learning needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and paraprofessionals in co-taught settings
