Job Title: Special Education Teacher Emotional Impairment (EI)
Location: District in the Cassopolis, MI area
Assignment Dates:
- ASAP start
- Through June 5, 2026 (with potential continuation into NSY)
Schedule:
- Approximately 35 hours per week

- Serving grades 711
Position Overview:
A district in the Cassopolis, MI area is seeking a Special Education Teacher with an Emotional Impairment (EI) focus to support a self-contained classroom. This role involves working with students with significant needs in a structured, supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction in a self-contained EI classroom
- Support a caseload of approximately 12 students
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
- Collaborate with support staff and related service providers
- Maintain documentation and compliance with SPED requirements
- Support student behavior, academic progress, and social-emotional development
Requirements:
- Active Special Education teaching license in Michigan
- EI endorsement or Autism endorsement required
Additional Details:
- VOCO (virtual services) is not accepted due to caseload type
- Position is fully onsite
