Special Education Teacher
Location: Cascade, Idaho
Schedule:2026-27 School Year
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Classroom: (Self-Contained Severe/Multiple Disabilities)
Position Overview:
A school district in Cascade, ID is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide direct instruction and oversee instructional assistants supporting students with significant cognitive impairments. This role focuses on implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs) to ensure student growth and compliance in a structured, supportive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students with multiple and/or significant cognitive disabilities
- Supervise and support instructional assistants in daily classroom implementation
- Implement IEPs and Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs) with fidelity
- Support student academic, behavioral, and functional skill development
- Collaborate with staff to ensure consistent student support
Requirements:
- Active Idaho Special Education (SPED) certification
- Experience in a self contained classroom preferred
