Qualifications:

• Valid Tennessee Special Education certification (grades 6-8 endorsement, codes 144-145)
• Experience working with middle school students, ideally within special education settings
• Strong organizational skills and attention to documentation detail
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education and SPED teams
• Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor IEPs for approximately 95 students in grades 68
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and other SPED professionals to promote inclusive practices
• Observe students in general education settings to provide guidance and targeted support
• Offer consultative support to general education teachers to accommodate student needs
• Keep accurate, up-to-date documentation of IEP processes and meetings
• Serve as a resource for both students and educators in achieving learning objectives
• Maintain consistent communication with families and multidisciplinary teams
