You will be working full-time, Monday through Friday, in a communication disorder classroom with a manageable caseload of 10 students. Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Illinois LBS1 certification is required
- Experience working with elementary students, particularly K-4, is highly valued
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to individualize instruction and support IEP implementation
- Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized education plans for each student
- Provide specialized instruction focused on communication disorders
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, aides, and families
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records
- Apply evidence-based strategies to support both academic and social-emotional growth
- Create a classroom culture that promotes inclusion, belonging, and safety
