As a licensed Teacher of Record, youll be working 35 hours per week within a collaborative setting that values your skills and dedication. Caseloads span Special Education classes, inclusion settings, resource rooms, and autism support, allowing you to apply a range of teaching strategies.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Indiana state license for Mild to Moderate disabilities, K-12
- Experience or genuine interest in working with Special Education populations
- Competency in adapting instruction for various learning needs
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Organizational skills for managing documentation, IEPs, and student progress
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction to students in a variety of Special Education settings, including resource, inclusion, and autism-specific classrooms
- Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success
- Track student performance, maintain records, and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
- Create supportive, engaging, and adaptive learning spaces for all students
