Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid NMPED teaching certificate is required
• Experience working with elementary school students in a special education setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with colleagues, families, and service providers
• Ability to design and implement effective accommodations and modifications
• Knowledge of best practices in inclusive and resource classroom instruction
• Positive attitude, creativity, and adaptability

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide direct instruction and support to students with varying abilities
• Modify curriculum to ensure access and success for all learners
• Track and document student progress toward academic and behavioral goals
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth and strategies
• Support students in developing social, emotional, and self-advocacy skills
• Foster an engaging, encouraging, and safe classroom atmosphere
