Job Description
Make a positive impact supporting elementary students in a life skills autistic support classroom. This contract position is designed for a Special Education Teacher who brings dedication, compassion, and expertise to the classroom each day. Youll have the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic school team and help young learners reach their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education certification for elementary grades
- Current and valid clearances required
- Experience working in an autistic support or life skills classroom is preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students in a life skills/autistic support classroom
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students unique strengths and needs
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and structured learning environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, families, and support staff
- Track progress and provide regular updates on student performance
- Maintain required documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
Position Details:
- Contract position beginning as soon as possible through November 10th
- Monday through Friday schedule (full time)
- Work within one elementary school environment
